Mel: Match Rating is built around a single principle: your team's data is yours. Mel does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any of your information. Everything you create lives only on your device. This policy explains exactly what that means.
Nothing. Mel has no accounts, no sign-up, no login. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, or device identifiers. The content you build inside the app — player profiles, ratings for technique, speed, tactics, discipline, and physicality, coaching notes, match records, performance history, and your custom formula weights — is created and kept on your device alone. We never see it.
Because we don't collect anything, there's nothing for us to use, analyze, profile, or sell. All calculations — rating conversions, averages, trends, player comparisons, and diagram rendering — happen locally on your device. Your data is never sent anywhere for processing.
All app data is stored locally in Mel's own storage on your device. There is no cloud backend, no remote database, and no synchronization to external servers. Nothing leaves your phone or tablet unless you choose to export or share it yourself.
Mel includes no third-party analytics, no advertising networks, no trackers, and no marketing SDKs. We do not embed external services that quietly observe how you use the app. There are no hidden data pipelines.
By keeping everything on-device, Mel keeps your exposure to a minimum — there's no server to breach and no data in transit to intercept. Your information is protected by your device's own security (passcode, biometrics, and OS-level protections). We recommend keeping your device updated and locked.
Mel does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. With no accounts and no data transmission, the app is inherently COPPA-friendly. Coaches working with youth teams can use Mel knowing that players' information never leaves the device.
You are in full control. You can edit or delete any player, rating, note, or match at any time inside the app. To remove everything permanently, simply delete Mel from your device — since there are no cloud backups or accounts, that erases all associated data completely.
If we ever update this policy, we'll revise the Effective Date above and publish the new version with the app. Our core commitment — no collection, no servers, no tracking — will not change.
